Teatro Pereyra
Teatro Pereyra is a former theater in the heart of Ibiza Town's old center that now operates as a cafe and bar. The theatrical facade survives, and some interior details hint at the building's previous life. During the day it works as a coffee spot; by evening it becomes a popular pre-club gathering place. The terrace tables on the narrow street fill quickly from 9 PM onward in summer as people settle in for drinks before heading to the clubs. Cocktails run EUR 10-14, beer EUR 5-7, and wine EUR 6-8. The interior is spacious with high ceilings and a long bar. Music plays at a level that allows conversation, getting slightly louder as the night goes on. The crowd is mixed: residents, seasonal workers, tourists who've found it, and the occasional DJ having a quiet drink before their set. There's no entry charge, no dress code, and no pressure to move on. It functions as Ibiza Town's living room, a place where different worlds overlap before dispersing to their respective clubs.

Full Review
Teatro Pereyra occupies a building with genuine architectural character. The facade still reads as a theater, and inside the high ceilings and proportions give the room a grandeur that most bars lack. The conversion to a bar and cafe was done without stripping away the building's personality.
The terrace is the prime real estate. Tables line the narrow street, and by 10 PM on a summer evening every seat is taken. The people-watching is excellent: club promoters handing out flyers, groups of friends debating where to go next, couples lingering over their second bottle of wine. The staff let you sit without pressure, which is increasingly rare on the island.
Drinks are reasonably priced by Ibiza standards, which means they'd be slightly expensive on the mainland. Cocktails are competently made without being remarkable. The wine list covers Spanish and European basics. Beer is cold and served quickly. Nobody comes here for the drinks specifically; they come for the setting and the timing.
Teatro Pereyra fills a gap in Ibiza Town's nightlife. It's too early for the clubs, too late for the beach, and you need somewhere to be. This is that somewhere. The transition from calm early evening to buzzy pre-club energy happens naturally, and you can ride it as long as you want before heading out.
The Neighborhood
Teatro Pereyra is in the commercial center of Ibiza Town, on a street that connects the old port area to the upper town. The surrounding blocks have restaurants, shops, and smaller bars. It's a five-minute walk from both the port and the Dalt Vila old town entrance.
Getting There
Walk from anywhere in Ibiza Town center; it's on Carrer del Comte de Rossello, near the intersection with the main pedestrian shopping streets. From the port, walk inland for about 5 minutes.
