Rock Bar
Rock Bar has been operating in Ibiza Town's port area since the 1980s, serving rock, indie, alternative, and occasional punk and metal to a crowd that wants nightlife without electronic music. The interior is stripped back: band posters covering the walls, a long bar with mirrored shelving, and a small standing area that fills before midnight on most nights. The music policy is the anchor, and the bartenders rotate between classic rock staples, indie catalogue, and newer alternative releases, with volume set high enough that the room feels like a proper rock bar rather than a background-music venue. Drink prices sit at the low end of Ibiza's range, which reflects the bar's refusal to chase tourist pricing despite its harbor-front location. The crowd mixes locals, island workers on nights off, expats, and visitors who've specifically sought out a non-electronic alternative to the island's main scene. Staff are long-tenured and welcoming, with more than a few regulars propping up the bar on any given night.
What to Expect
A loud, low-lit room covered in band memorabilia, rock playing at conversation-defeating volume, and a crowd that's here specifically to hear guitars. Drinks cheap by Ibiza standards, staff friendly, no pretense.

Full Review
Rock Bar is a study in consistency. The interior has changed little in 30-plus years, the music policy stays committed to guitars, and the pricing hasn't been dragged upward by the island's luxury creep. That consistency is the appeal. People who come here know exactly what they're getting: loud rock, cold beer, no tourist-trap nonsense, and staff who've been pouring drinks here long enough to remember the names of half the regulars.
The music rotation skews toward the catalogue rather than chasing trends. Expect AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, Nirvana, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, and a healthy dose of whatever the bartender feels like queuing on a given night. Punk and metal nights pop up occasionally, usually billed on the Facebook page a week ahead. Volume is set high enough to make conversation work, though standing at the counter you can still talk without shouting.
Drink prices are the other draw. Beer at 4-6 EUR and spirits at 7-9 EUR feel almost comical after a week of Pacha prices. Cocktails are basic but well-poured: standard gin and tonics, rum and cokes, maybe a Long Island if the bartender's in the mood. This is not where you come for craft cocktails; it's where you come to drink affordably while listening to guitar music.
The crowd sets Rock Bar apart from everything else in the port. Local workers from the bigger clubs drop in on their nights off, expats who've lived on the island for decades still use it as their local, and visitors who've specifically sought out an alternative to electronic music find each other here. Conversations run across age groups and nationalities, usually sparked by whatever song is playing. Rock Bar is the rare Ibiza venue that feels like a neighborhood bar rather than a tourism product, and the loyalty of its regulars keeps the place honest year after year.

Operating since 1973, Pacha is Ibiza's most iconic club. The cherry logo is recognized worldwide. Multiple rooms play different genres, from the main room's headline DJ sets to the funky room's house classics. Dress code enforced. Entry EUR 40-80 for headline nights.

Lío
Dinner-and-show cabaret concept on the harbor that combines a restaurant, performance stage, and club. The show runs during dinner, then the venue transitions to a nightclub after midnight. The production quality is high, and the crowd is glamorous. Dinner-show packages start at EUR 100.

Teatro Pereyra
Former theater converted into a bar-cafe that maintains its theatrical facade and some interior details. Functions as a relaxed pre-club drink spot and late-night gathering place. The terrace spills onto the street in summer.

Heart Ibiza
Collaboration between Cirque du Soleil and the Adria brothers (of El Bulli fame) combining restaurant, show, and club. Performances run during dinner, followed by a club night. The concept is ambitious and the execution is polished, if pricey.

Keeper
Intimate cocktail bar in the Marina area with exposed stone walls and a curated drink menu. The bartenders are knowledgeable, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is a welcome change from the high-volume club scene.

Circo Ibiza
Late-night club in the port area with a circus-themed interior. DJ sets lean toward tech house and deep house. The crowd is younger and the entry price is lower than Pacha, making it a solid alternative for a midweek night.
