Tavros
Tavros is a warehouse club in the Tavros neighborhood, at the southern end of the broad Pireos corridor. The venue occupies a converted factory space on Aiolou 28, with a single large room, minimal decoration, and a sound system designed for extended techno and deep house programming. Capacity sits around 600-700 at full density. The interior is deliberately raw: exposed concrete, steel beams, no decorative effort beyond functional lighting. Events typically start at midnight or 1 AM and run to 8 or 9 AM. Entry costs EUR 8-15 depending on the DJ. Beer costs EUR 5-6, spirits-based drinks EUR 8-11. No table service, no bottle packages, no VIP section. Tavros programs local Greek DJs alongside visiting international names.

Insider Tip
Arriving at 1 AM rather than midnight finds the room already warm and the music at its intended pace. Bring earplugs; the sound system is powerful. Check Tavros social media for the monthly program since quality of events varies significantly with the booking.
Full Review
Tavros works because the people running it understand what makes a techno club function at a high level. The room acoustics are engineered for the music rather than adapted from an existing industrial space. The sound pressure is substantial but controlled: you feel it in your chest without it becoming painful or distorted.
The booking policy has become more ambitious over the past few years, partly because Athens electronic music scene has developed a credible international reputation. Local DJs who started here have toured internationally; visiting artists have returned multiple times.
The crowd is one of Tavros strongest assets. Athens electronic music community is serious and self-selecting. People at Tavros came specifically for the music and the duration. There is less social performance that dominates the Gazi clubs and more sustained collective listening.
The practical challenges are the location and the hours. Getting to Tavros from the center requires a taxi or a 20-minute walk through progressively emptier streets.
The Neighborhood
The Tavros neighborhood is south of the main Pireos club zone, a largely residential and light-industrial area with no other nightlife. The club sits in isolation, which contributes to its identity as a destination.
Getting There
No metro stop within practical walking distance. Taxis from central Athens take 15-20 minutes. Beat and Uber both serve the area. From the main Pireos corridor venues, it is a 20-minute walk or a short taxi ride.
