Mommy

Kolonaki, Athens

Mommy is one of Kolonaki oldest operating nightclubs, running on Deliyianni 4 for over two decades in a neighborhood that has seen bars and clubs come and go with the Greek economy cycles. The venue occupies two floors: a ground-level entry area with a bar, and a lower floor that holds the main dance floor, DJ booth, and additional bar service. The total capacity sits around 250-300 people. Music policy leans toward commercial house, mainstream Greek pop, and R&B, with the occasional themed night. The crowd is Kolonaki by definition: well-dressed, 28-45, and comfortable spending more than the Gazi average. Table reservations dominate weekend nights; a table for four runs EUR 100-150 minimum, typically a bottle of spirits with mixers. Walk-in access is easier on Thursdays. Cover on weekends without a table is EUR 10-15, usually including a drink. Drinks at the bar cost EUR 10-14 for cocktails and EUR 7-9 for beer.

Full Review

Mommy has outlasted dozens of Athens clubs by knowing exactly who it serves and not trying to be anything else. Kolonaki nightlife crowd wants a clean room, a good sound system, and table service run competently. Mommy delivers all of that without pretension.

The two-floor layout works. The entry level gives arriving guests somewhere to stand and get their bearings before descending to the main floor. The dance floor is the right size for the capacity. The lighting is tasteful by club standards.

The table service model shapes the whole atmosphere. Tables of six to ten people occupy most of the perimeter, and the social performance of ordering bottles creates a theatrical backdrop to the dance floor. Solo and pair visitors who did not book a table tend to cluster at the main bar.

Thursday nights are a better experience than weekends. The crowd is still Kolonaki but less formal, less performative, and more interested in the music and each other. The door policy relaxes and the overall atmosphere is more fun. If Mommy is on your list, Thursday is the smart choice.

The Neighborhood

Mommy sits on Deliyianni Street in upper Kolonaki, a block from the main Skoufa bar corridor. The surrounding streets are residential at night. Post-club, the crowd disperses to late-night souvlaki on Academias Street or taxis home.

Getting There

Evangelismos metro (Line 3) is a 10-minute walk uphill. Taxis from anywhere in central Athens are efficient. Beat and Uber both work; Beat tends to have shorter wait times in this part of the city.
