Social Club Heraklion
Social Club Heraklion is the main late-night club in the city center, located off Korai Street and operating with two separate rooms running different programs. The main floor handles commercial dance and Greek pop, with the kind of tracks that move large mixed crowds: Greek chart hits, international pop-dance, occasional reggaeton. The side room runs a more selective program of deep house, tech house, and techno for the crowd that wants actual DJ work rather than a party playlist. The venue opens at midnight and runs to roughly 5 AM, following the standard Greek clubbing schedule of late arrival and late departure. The sound system in both rooms is good, laser rigs function, and the staff runs the crowd efficiently through the door. Drink prices sit mid-range for central Heraklion clubs, with beer at 6-8 EUR and standard mixed drinks at 9-12 EUR. Bottle service exists for tables in the VIP section, which is the standard setup for mid-size Greek clubs. Dress code runs stricter than the bars, meaning sneakers are fine but workout clothes and flip-flops get turned away on busy nights.

Insider Tip
Arrive between 00:30 and 01:30 for the best balance of crowd energy and available space; earlier is dead, later means queuing. The side techno room usually has a lower cover and fewer pop-fans. Cards work for tabs but cash is faster at the bar when it's three-deep.
Full Review
Social Club Heraklion is the default late-night club option in central Heraklion, situated in a building off Korai Street that has housed several club concepts over the years. The current operation runs two programmed rooms, which is a smart format for a mid-size Greek city: the main floor handles commercial dance and Greek pop for the general crowd, while the side room programs deep house, tech house, and techno for listeners who want actual DJ craft rather than playlist curation.
The space itself is standard mid-size Greek club architecture, dark walls, a long bar, raised DJ booth, laser and LED rigs covering the ceiling, and a VIP area with table service around the edges. The sound system is better than the décor suggests, clear on the low end and not blown out at peak volume, which separates Social Club from the many Greek clubs where bass becomes muddy after midnight. The crowd capacity sits somewhere around 500-600 across both rooms, and on Friday and Saturday nights in summer the main floor reaches near-capacity by 01:30.
Drink pricing follows the Greek club convention: entry of 10-15 EUR usually includes one drink, and subsequent drinks run 6-12 EUR depending on what you order. Bottle service for tables starts around 80 EUR and climbs steeply based on the bottle and the table location. The bar staff works fast, which matters when 400 people all want a drink between sets.
The programming schedule runs Thursday through Saturday most of the year, with additional Wednesday events during summer high season. Doors officially open at midnight, though the crowd doesn't really arrive until after 01:00 in Greek clubbing custom. Compared to the beach clubs at Hersonissos or Malia, Social Club is more urban and less package-holiday in its crowd composition, with a higher proportion of Greeks (Heraklion residents and students) alongside international visitors. For late-night dancing in Heraklion itself, it's the primary option.
The Neighborhood
The club sits off Korai Street in central Heraklion, a stretch that has historically held several of the city's main nightlife venues. The surrounding blocks include other bars, late-night food spots, and taxi stands that activate after 02:00 when the crowd starts moving between venues. The Morosini fountain is a 5-minute walk north.
Getting There
From central Heraklion hotels, walk 5-10 minutes depending on location. From the coastal KTEL bus terminal, walk 15 minutes or take a 5-minute taxi. Taxis are easy to find until around 04:00, after which demand often outstrips supply; arranging a return ride in advance during summer weekends is smart planning.
