Azzurro Beach Bar
Azzurro Beach Bar sits at the western end of Slovenska Beach, closest to the Old Town, with a setup of loungers and low tables directly on the sand. The venue holds about 100 guests between the beach seating and a small raised terrace behind. The bar counter is open-air, staffed by two to three bartenders during peak hours. The daytime operation is a standard beach bar with cocktail service and a Mediterranean-style food menu. After sunset, a DJ takes over the sound system and the volume increases, though Azzurro stays more relaxed than Trocadero further down the beach. The crowd here is slightly older and less party-focused, drawn by the proximity to the Old Town and the calmer pace.

Full Review
Azzurro benefits from its position at the Old Town end of Slovenska Beach. You can walk from the medieval walls to a sunbed with a cocktail in under five minutes, and that convenience drives a steady crowd from mid-morning onward.
The beach setup is comfortable without being luxurious. Sunbeds are padded, umbrellas provide real shade, and the staff check in regularly. The cocktail menu runs through the Mediterranean standards: mojitos, aperol spritz, gin and tonics with cucumber. Execution is reliable rather than exceptional. The food menu offers salads, grilled seafood, and sandwiches that are better than average for a beach bar.
The evening transition is gradual. The DJ starts around 6 PM with ambient music, and the energy builds slowly as the sunset draws a crowd. By 9 PM, the atmosphere has shifted from beach to bar without a hard break. This gradual ramp is Azzurro's strength; it doesn't try to become a nightclub. People who want that walk east to Trocadero.
The crowd is a mix of hotel guests from the nearby resorts, couples on the Budva circuit, and tourists walking the promenade who stop because the music sounds good. It's not a scene in the way that Trocadero or Top Hill are scenes. It's a beach bar that does its job well and knows its lane.
