Club Cubana
Club Cubana bills itself as 'Asia's largest nightclub,' and while that claim is debatable, the scale is real. Built into a hilltop above Arpora, between Baga and Anjuna, the venue sprawls across multiple levels with a swimming pool at the center, open-air dance floors, bars on every level, and a panoramic view of North Goa's palm-tree canopy. The crowd is 80% domestic tourists on holiday. The music is Bollywood hits and EDM. The energy on a Saturday night is unrestrained.
What to Expect
A large, multi-level outdoor nightclub with a swimming pool, multiple dance floors, and a party-holiday atmosphere. The crowd is young, predominantly Indian, and here to celebrate. Music is loud. Drinks are cheaper than Mumbai. The hilltop setting and open air make it feel more like a festival than a club.
High-energy, loud, and celebratory. The pool creates a centerpiece effect. On busy nights, the energy is infectious. On quiet nights, the scale works against it and the venue feels empty.
Bollywood hits, EDM, commercial dance, hip-hop. Live DJ with heavy bass. Request culture is strong; the DJ takes crowd-pleaser requests.
Smart casual. Men need closed shoes and trousers; shorts are sometimes allowed in the pool area. No beachwear in the main club sections. Women face minimal restrictions.
Party-oriented visitors, groups, first-timers to Goa nightlife, anyone who wants a big-venue experience

Full Review
Club Cubana occupies a hilltop position above Arpora that gives it something most Goa clubs lack: a view. The venue cascades down the hillside across multiple levels, each with its own bar and personality. The swimming pool sits at the center, surrounded by lounge seating and dance space. Upper levels offer calmer seating with panoramic views. The ground-level dance floor gets the heaviest use.
The scale is impressive. On a peak Saturday in December, Cubana can hold over 1,500 people and sometimes does. The infrastructure supports this: multiple bars reduce queue times, the open-air design prevents the suffocating heat of enclosed Indian clubs, and the hillside layout means different energy zones coexist within the same venue.
Music is mainstream. The DJ plays Bollywood hits, EDM anthems, and the occasional hip-hop track, responding to crowd energy rather than personal taste. The sound system is powerful enough for the outdoor space. For visitors expecting Goa's legendary trance scene, Cubana is not it. This is commercial party music for a commercial party crowd.
Pricing follows the Goa model: cover charge includes one or two drinks, additional drinks are cheap by Mumbai standards. Ladies' nights on Wednesdays offer free entry and complimentary drinks for women, which draws the week's biggest mixed crowd.
Cubana competes with Cafe Mambo (more central in Baga, smaller, louder) and LPK Waterfront (more upscale, dinner-plus-club format). Cubana wins on space and atmosphere. The hilltop, the pool, the open sky overhead make it feel like something that couldn't exist in a city.
The Neighborhood
Club Cubana sits on Arpora Hill, between Baga and Anjuna in North Goa. The hilltop location requires road transport; it's not walkable from the beaches.
Getting There
Scooter or taxi to Club Cubana, Arpora Hill. From Baga Beach, it's a 10-minute drive. From Anjuna, 15 minutes. The entrance road is steep and dark; drive carefully. Pilot services (motorbike taxis) wait outside at closing time for the return trip.
