Dubai Marina & JBR, Dubai

Pier 7 is a seven-story tower at the Dubai Marina that stacks a different restaurant or bar concept on each floor. The building overlooks the marina waterway, and every level offers views of the yachts, towers, and waterfront promenade below. Concepts range from Asian fusion to seafood to cocktail lounges. The idea is to pick a floor that matches your mood or hop between levels throughout the evening. The ground floors tend to be restaurants with bar service, while the upper levels lean more toward dedicated drinking venues with DJs on weekends.

What to Expect

A multi-level dining and drinking destination with a different vibe on each floor. The lower floors are more restaurant-focused, while the upper levels operate as lounges and bars. Weekend evenings bring a lively crowd to the upper levels. Service quality varies by venue.

Atmosphere

Polished and scenic. The views are the main attraction, with the food and drinks supporting the experience.

Music

Background lounge music during the week. DJ sets on upper floors Thursday through Saturday.

Dress Code

Smart casual to smart. Collared shirts recommended for men at the upper-floor venues.

Best For

Couples wanting a marina-view dinner followed by cocktails. Small groups celebrating a special occasion.

Payment

Cards accepted at all venues. Each floor operates as an independent restaurant/bar with separate billing.

Price Range

Cocktails AED 60-100, food AED 80-200, sharing platters AED 120-250

Cocktails ≈ $16-27 / EUR 15-25; dinner ≈ $22-54 / EUR 20-50 per person

Hours

Most venues open from 6 PM to 2 AM. Some restaurants start at noon.

Insider Tip

Reserve at a specific restaurant for dinner, then explore other floors for after-dinner drinks. The top floors have the best views but the highest prices. Weeknight visits offer the same views without the weekend crowds.

Full Review

The tower sits at the end of a pier extending into the Dubai Marina, accessible by a short walkway from the Marina Walk promenade. A central elevator connects all seven floors, and each level has its own entrance, host stand, and concept.

The quality across floors is uneven. Some restaurants have held their standard for years; others feel like they're coasting on the view. The seafood restaurant on one of the middle floors is generally the most consistent for food quality. The cocktail lounges on the upper floors are better for drinks than dining.

Views are the real product here. The marina panorama from the upper floors, especially at sunset, is genuinely impressive. Every table has some version of it, though window seats are predictably in demand. Reserve if you want waterfront positioning.

On weekends, the upper-floor bars bring in DJs and the atmosphere shifts from dining to socializing. The crowd on these nights is mixed: tourists, expat couples, and small groups of friends. The vibe stays more lounge than club; this isn't a dance-floor venue.

The main drawback is that you're paying location premium prices for food that ranges from good to average. If the view is the priority, it delivers. If the food is the priority, Dubai has better restaurants at similar prices without the marina markup.

The Neighborhood

Pier 7 extends from Dubai Marina Walk. The Marina promenade with its restaurants and cafes stretches in both directions. The Dubai Marina Mall is a 5-minute walk south. Multiple hotel bars sit within a 10-minute walking radius.

Getting There

DAMAC Properties Metro station on the Red Line is a 10-minute walk. The Dubai Tram stops at Marina station, closer at about 7 minutes. Taxis can drop off at the Marina Walk entrance to the pier.
