Bla Bla Dubai
Bla Bla Dubai takes up a massive chunk of The Walk JBR, spreading across three floors with fourteen different bar concepts under one roof. The ground level has a sports bar and casual drinking spots. The first floor houses a cocktail lounge and a live music venue. The rooftop is the main event: an open-air terrace with Gulf views, DJ sets, and a party atmosphere on weekends. The concept is designed so you can spend an entire evening moving between spaces without leaving the building. The crowd ranges from after-work professionals to weekend party groups, depending on which floor and which night.
What to Expect
A vertical night out. Each floor has a different energy level, from quiet lounge to full party mode. The sheer size means it never feels overcrowded on most nights, though Thursday rooftop sessions get packed. Service varies by floor but is generally attentive.
Different on every floor. Relaxed at ground level, social on the first floor, and high-energy on the rooftop.
Live bands on the first floor, commercial and house DJ sets on the rooftop, sports and casual music on ground level.
Smart casual. Jeans and a nice shirt work for most floors. The rooftop on weekends trends slightly more dressed up.
Groups who can't agree on one type of venue. The variety means everyone finds something they like.
Cards accepted throughout. Individual tabs per floor.

Full Review
The entrance on The Walk JBR leads into the ground floor, which operates as a casual bar and grill with big-screen sports coverage and pub-style seating. It's pleasant enough but not the reason people come here. The first floor adds live music several nights a week, with a band stage surrounded by cocktail seating. The quality of the bands varies, but the better acts draw a dedicated crowd.
The rooftop is the headline. Open from October to May (closed in summer due to heat), it offers Gulf views, a wraparound bar, and a DJ booth that commands the space. On Thursday and Friday nights, this becomes one of JBR's busiest party spots. The sound system handles the outdoor space well. Seating is a mix of high tables and lounge areas, with some reservable sections.
Food across all levels is competent international fare. The JBR location means the kitchen competes with dozens of restaurants within a five-minute walk, so quality is kept reasonable. Drink prices are standard for the area. Service gets stretched on busy nights, particularly on the rooftop.
The concept works because it offers flexibility. A couple wanting a quiet dinner can eat on the first floor and leave by 10 PM. A group of six wanting to party can start at ground level and end on the rooftop at 2 AM. The venue handles both scenarios without forcing either group into the other's experience.
