Fira Beach Club
Fira Beach Club is a Mediterranean-style rooftop beach club above Kata Noi Beach, with panoramic Andaman Sea views, infinity-edge cocktail seating, and regular sunset DJ sets. The format runs as a polished beach club rather than a casual beach bar: a strict reservation system on weekends, smart-casual dress code, and prices well above the Kata standard. The space holds about 200 across the main pool deck, a covered dining section, and a small cocktail terrace. Mediterranean-Thai fusion menu dominates the food list; the cocktail program runs more ambitious than the casual Kata standard. The DJ sets bridge dinner hours into a small late-night party crowd on Friday and Saturday. The crowd skews resort-guest and weekend visitors from Bangkok or international travelers wanting a Phuket cocktail bar that takes itself seriously.

Insider Tip
Reservations strongly recommended for weekend sunset; the cliff-edge tables go first. Book a day-bed package if you're staying for a longer afternoon-into-evening session. The kitchen is the actual standout; order proper food rather than just snacks.
Full Review
Fira Beach Club sits high on the headland above Kata Noi, with the cliff face dropping toward the Andaman on one side. The entrance from the road leads into a polished reception that handles seating bookings, day-bed packages, and walk-ins; the space behind opens onto a large pool deck with infinity-edge seating, a covered dining section with sea views, and a small cocktail terrace at the upper level.
The Mediterranean styling is genuine. Whitewashed walls, terracotta accents, and Aegean-blue cushions cover the space; the planting includes olive trees, lavender, and bougainvillea. The format reads as a transplanted Ibiza beach club, with the Andaman view replacing the Mediterranean.
The kitchen is the standout that distinguishes Fira from the standard Phuket cocktail-and-views format. The menu runs Mediterranean-Thai fusion with serious technique: grilled octopus, branzino, lamb chops, and a few well-executed Thai dishes (pad thai, green curry with seafood). The dishes work as proper dinner rather than as snacks. The cocktail program runs ambitious for a Phuket venue, with the bartenders trained in international technique.
The sunset DJ sets are the format's social peak. The DJ booth on the pool deck handles lounge, deep house, and Mediterranean house from 17:00 to 19:00, with the volume increasing as the evening progresses. Friday and Saturday nights extend the music programming to 01:00; the late-night crowd is small but the energy is there.
Compared with the Kata reggae bars (Ska, After Beach), Fira is the polished alternative. Compared with the standard Phuket resort beach clubs (Coast, Coqoon, the Catch Beach Club at Surin), it sits competitively in price and quality. The Kata Noi location is the differentiator; few Phuket cocktail bars combine the headland views with the polished beach club format at this scale.
The price point is the highest in Kata by a meaningful margin. Beer at 200-300 THB; cocktails at 350-550 THB; mains at 450-1,200 THB. For visitors wanting an upscale Kata experience, the prices justify themselves; for casual beach bar drinkers, Ska Bar or After Beach Bar deliver similar atmospherics at half the cost.
