Wave Club
Wave Club targets the younger end of Taipei's clubbing spectrum, drawing university students and recent graduates with EDM-heavy programming and frequent themed nights. The venue is mid-sized, fitting roughly 400 people at capacity, which creates a more intimate atmosphere than the mega-clubs nearby. The sound system punches hard for the room's size, and the lighting rig keeps up. Theme nights rotate weekly: foam parties in summer, costume events around Halloween, guest DJs from Korea and Japan sprinkled throughout the calendar. Drink prices sit below the Xinyi average, making it the default choice for younger crowds watching their budgets.
What to Expect
A young, energetic crowd that's there to dance and have fun without pretension. The vibe is university party meets proper club. Themed nights bring costumes and props. Regular nights are straightforward dance floor energy with EDM and pop remixes.
Fun, loud, and unpretentious. The kind of place where strangers high-five on the dance floor.
EDM, electro house, pop remixes, K-pop mashups on themed nights
Casual is accepted here more than at other Xinyi venues. Clean streetwear works. Theme nights override normal dress codes.
Young travelers, backpackers, and anyone who wants to dance without the bottle service pressure of the bigger clubs.

Follow their Instagram for themed night announcements. Summer foam parties sell out, so buy tickets early. The back bar is less crowded than the main one near the entrance.
Full Review
Wave Club fills a gap in Xinyi's nightlife by offering a club experience without the price tag or attitude of the flagship venues. The space is a single room with a raised DJ booth, a dance floor that takes up about two-thirds of the area, and bars along both side walls. Decor is minimal, but the LED panels and moving lights create enough visual interest once the crowd is in.
The demographic is clearly younger than Myst or Omni. Expect groups of university students, international exchange students from nearby colleges, and young working professionals on a budget. The energy is enthusiastic and genuine, if sometimes a bit sloppy by 1 AM as cheap drinks take effect.
Themed nights are Wave's secret weapon. The summer foam parties pack the venue beyond comfort, with soap suds filling the dance floor to waist height. Halloween and Christmas events draw impressive costumes. These special events are when Wave is at its best, transforming from a standard club into something with real character.
Drinks are 20-30% cheaper than at the high-end venues nearby. The cocktails won't win any mixology awards, but they're properly made and honestly poured. Beer is the most popular order and moves fastest at the bar.
The sound system handles EDM well, with enough bass to feel without causing distortion. Resident DJs know their audience and keep the energy high with familiar tracks and crowd-pleasing drops. Don't come here for musical discovery. Come here to dance.
