Myst
Myst is the biggest club in Taipei and one of the largest in East Asia, occupying a massive space in the Xinyi district that holds over 1,000 people across its main floor and mezzanine level. The club books international headliners regularly, from Tiesto and Martin Garrix to Afrojack, alongside a strong roster of Asian resident DJs. The sound system is custom-built for the room, and the lighting rig can hold its own against clubs twice its budget. Two bars keep the lines manageable on most nights, though weekends after midnight push them hard. The crowd is a mix of Taipei's young professionals, international students, and visiting tourists, most dressed to impress. Bottle service dominates the VIP section along the upper level, where tables with views of the main floor start at TWD 10,000 and climb steeply from there.
What to Expect
A big-room club experience with serious production values. The bass hits your chest from the moment you enter. Expect a fashionable crowd, heavy bottle service culture on the upper level, and an energetic dance floor below. This is where Taipei goes to see and be seen on a Saturday night.
High-energy, visually impressive, and loud. The main floor pulses with bass while the mezzanine offers a slightly calmer vantage point.
EDM, progressive house, big-room house, with techno and bass music on special event nights
Smart casual enforced. Clean sneakers accepted, but dress shoes are safer. No shorts, sandals, or tank tops. Women have more flexibility but the crowd trends dressy.
Groups wanting a flagship club experience with international-level production. Good for first-time Taipei visitors who want to see the city's biggest venue.
Cash (TWD) and credit cards accepted at bars. Cash is faster.

Insider Tip
Arrive before 11 PM to skip the worst of the line. Buy tickets online for international DJ nights as they sell out. The left-side bar on the main floor moves faster than the one near the entrance.
Full Review
Walking into Myst for the first time puts the scale into perspective. The main floor is cavernous, with ceilings high enough that the laser rig has room to paint patterns across the entire crowd. The DJ booth sits elevated at the far end, flanked by LED walls that sync to the music. Sound quality is excellent at most positions on the floor, though standing directly under the mezzanine overhang dulls the treble.
The upper level runs along three sides of the main room, with VIP tables lining the railing. From here, you get a panoramic view of the dance floor below. Service for table customers is attentive and fast. The bottle presentation comes with sparklers and a parade of servers, standard for Asian mega-clubs. A basic whisky bottle package for four to six people runs TWD 10,000-15,000 including mixers.
On a regular Saturday night without an international headliner, the resident DJs play a competent mix of progressive house and EDM that keeps the floor active. Energy builds from about 11 PM and peaks between midnight and 2 AM. The crowd during peak hours is dense but not uncomfortably so because the room is simply enormous.
Compared to clubs of similar ambition in Seoul or Tokyo, Myst offers strong value. The cover is reasonable, drink prices don't shock, and the production quality matches venues that charge twice as much. The weak point is consistency. When a big-name DJ plays, the experience is genuinely world-class. On slower nights, the room can feel too large for the crowd that shows up.
The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, a detail that matters at a venue this size. Security at the entrance is professional and thorough. Coat check is available and recommended during winter months.
The Neighborhood
Myst sits on Songshou Road in the heart of Xinyi's entertainment zone, steps from ATT 4 Fun and within sight of Taipei 101. Late-night food vendors line the street outside after midnight, selling grilled skewers and bubble tea to the post-club crowd. Multiple taxi ranks operate nearby.
Getting There
Take the MRT Blue Line to Taipei City Hall Station, Exit 2. Walk east along Songshou Road for five minutes. Taxis from central Taipei cost TWD 150-250. Uber works well for the return trip.
