Miejsce
Miejsce means 'place' in Polish, and the name's understatement matches the venue's approach. The bar occupies a ground-floor space at ul. Jozefa 36 with a generous courtyard garden that transforms into one of Kazimierz's best outdoor drinking spots in summer. Inside, the room is open and airy by Krakow standards, with high ceilings, mismatched furniture that somehow works, and a small stage area for live performances. The programming mixes DJ nights, art exhibitions, film screenings, and live music without committing exclusively to any format. The drink list covers beer, wine, and cocktails at prices that sit between Kazimierz's cheapest dives and its cocktail bars. The crowd is young professionals and creative types who want a venue with more personality than a standard bar and more relaxation than a club.

Insider Tip
The courtyard garden is the reason to visit in summer. Arrive before 8 PM on warm evenings to get a table. Winter pushes everything indoors but the interior has its own appeal. Check their social media for event schedules.
Full Review
Miejsce operates from a building on Jozefa with a surprisingly large courtyard garden hidden behind it. The garden is a revelation on your first visit: shaded by trees, furnished with wooden tables and benches, and strung with lights that create a warm glow after dark. In summer, it's one of the most pleasant places to drink in all of Krakow.
The interior serves as a daytime cafe and transitions to a bar in the evening. The space is open and doesn't try to recreate the cellar atmosphere of nearby venues. Art exhibitions rotate on the walls. A small stage hosts occasional live acts and DJ sets. The overall effect is a venue that feels more like a community gathering space than a commercial bar.
Drinks are mid-range for Kazimierz. The cocktail list is short but competent. Beer includes both Polish standards and a craft option or two. Wine is available and reasonably priced. The kitchen serves light food that pairs well with afternoon drinks.
Miejsce works best in warm weather when the garden is open. The indoor experience is fine but doesn't distinguish itself from Kazimierz's other bars. The garden, though, is a genuine draw. It fills early on summer evenings and stays social until closing.
