The Tube
The Tube is one of the few venues in Luxembourg City that functions as a proper late-night club. Occupying converted industrial space on Rue de la Tour Jacob, the venue is built into the rock face of the Clausen valley, with stone walls and arched ceilings that give it a cave-like quality. The single room holds around 200 people, with a central dance floor, a bar along one wall, and a DJ booth elevated slightly above the crowd. The music policy centers on electronic genres: house, techno, and disco, with themed nights that bring in guest DJs from Belgium, Germany, and France. The club opens late and stays open later than anything else in Clausen, making it the default endpoint for nights that start at Scott's or Pygmalion and need somewhere to go after midnight. The crowd skews younger than the Clausen average, typically 25-35, and comes specifically to dance rather than to network.
What to Expect
You enter through an unassuming door and walk into a stone-vaulted room that feels like a sophisticated cave. The bass resonates off the rock walls in a way that makes the sound system punch above its weight. The dance floor fills gradually after midnight.
Underground and focused. The stone architecture creates an intensity that bigger, more polished clubs can't match.
House, techno, disco, and occasional funk nights. Guest DJs bring their own styles
Dark, stylish casual. The crowd dresses for a club, not a pub. Think Berlin-lite.
Electronic music fans who want to dance after midnight in an atmospheric setting
Cash and cards accepted. Entry often cash-only
Price Range
Entry EUR 10-20, beer EUR 6-8, cocktails EUR 12-16, water EUR 4
Entry ~$11-22 USD, beer ~$7-9 USD, cocktails ~$13-17 USD
Hours
Friday and Saturday from 11 PM to 4 AM. Occasional Thursday events
Insider Tip
Check their event schedule for guest DJ nights, which are significantly better than regular weekends. The stone walls keep it cool even when packed. Bring earplugs; the acoustics amplify everything.
Full Review
The Tube is Luxembourg's answer to the question of where to go when the pubs close. In a city where most venues shut their doors by 1 AM, The Tube's willingness to stay open until 4 AM on weekends makes it indispensable for anyone who wants a proper night out.
The space itself is the venue's greatest asset. The converted industrial cave, with its stone arches and rough walls, creates an atmosphere that no amount of interior design could replicate. The acoustics are interesting: the hard surfaces reflect sound in ways that make the bass feel physical and the mids echo slightly. It's not a perfect club sound, but it's distinctive and suits the music policy.
The booking strategy alternates between resident DJs and touring artists from the greater region. Belgium's proximity means that Brussels-based DJs play here regularly, and the French and German scenes contribute artists too. The best nights happen when a well-known guest plays and the room fills with people who've come specifically for the music. Regular weekends are enjoyable but less electric.
Service is efficient. One bar handles the whole room, which sounds like a bottleneck but works because the crowd is moderate-sized. Prices are high by any standard except Luxembourg's, where everything costs more than you expect.
The Tube's limitation is its schedule. Two nights a week, with occasional Thursday additions, means you need to time your visit. Outside those nights, Clausen shuts down early and there's nowhere comparable to go.
The Neighborhood
On Rue de la Tour Jacob in Clausen. Scott's Pub and Pygmalion are the natural pre-Tube stops. The walk back up to the old town after closing is the traditional challenge.
Getting There
Same access as all Clausen venues. The walk down from the old town is easy; the walk back up at 4 AM after dancing is less so. Consider booking a taxi.
