Aer
Aer sits 34 floors above sea level on the rooftop of the Four Seasons Hotel in Worli, technically between Bandra and Lower Parel but claimed by Bandra's nightlife orbit. The view is the product: 360-degree panorama of Mumbai's skyline, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link lit up at night, and the Arabian Sea stretching to the horizon. Cocktails are expensive. The setting justifies it. This is where Mumbai shows off.
What to Expect
An open-air rooftop bar with Mumbai's best skyline view, premium cocktails, and a crowd that transitions from after-work professionals at sunset to a party crowd after 10 PM on weekends. The wind at 34 floors can be strong; bring a layer.
Glamorous and aspirational during peak hours. The view does the heavy lifting. At sunset, it's genuinely magical. By midnight on weekends, it's a high-end party with expensive drinks and a well-dressed crowd.
Sunset sessions: deep house, lounge. Weekend late nights: house, EDM, Bollywood-electronic fusion. Live DJ from Thursday through Saturday.
Smart casual enforced strictly. Men need collared shirts and closed shoes. No shorts, no sandals, no athletic wear. The Four Seasons brand standards apply.
Sunset drinks, special occasions, impressing a date, visitors who want Mumbai's best view

Full Review
Aer has occupied the top of the Four Seasons Hotel since 2012, and it remains Mumbai's most famous rooftop bar for a simple reason: the view is unmatched. At 34 floors, you're above the city's chronic haze, looking out at the Sea Link's curves, Worli's tower blocks, and the Arabian Sea fading into darkness. On clear winter evenings, the sunset alone is worth the taxi fare.
The bar itself is open-air, which means wind and occasional rain are factors. The space is divided between high tables along the railing (the prime real estate), lounge seating in the center, and a bar counter on the interior side. Capacity is limited, which the venue uses to maintain exclusivity.
Cocktails are priced at Four Seasons levels: 900 to 1,500 INR for well-made but not groundbreaking drinks. The menu leans toward classics with a twist. The bartending is competent. Nobody comes to Aer for cutting-edge mixology; they come for the view and the status signal.
The evening unfolds in phases. From 5 PM to 8 PM, the after-work crowd arrives for sunset drinks. This is the best time: fewer people, golden light, and space at the railing. From 8 PM to 10 PM, dinner groups fill the tables. After 10 PM on Thursdays through Saturdays, a DJ takes over and the vibe shifts to something closer to a club, with dancing and higher energy.
Aer's competition is other rooftop bars: Asilo at the Palladium, AER Four Seasons has name recognition that others lack. The practical advantage is also simple. Most competitor rooftops are lower, with less impressive views.
