Radio Bar
Radio Bar occupies a two-level building on Rruga Ismail Qemali in the heart of Blloku, functioning as both a bar and a live music venue. The ground floor holds the main bar and a DJ booth, with an industrial-modern interior of exposed brick, metal fixtures, and warm lighting. The upper level opens onto a rooftop terrace with views over Blloku's rooftops and, on clear nights, the mountains ringing Tirana. Total capacity is around 150 across both floors. The venue programs DJ sets from Thursday through Saturday, leaning toward electronic, house, and indie-dance. On weeknights, the atmosphere is more bar than club, with the music at conversation level and the crowd drinking and talking. Radio has built a reputation as one of Blloku's more musically serious venues, attracting local DJs and occasional international bookings.
What to Expect
Downstairs is dim and music-forward, with the DJ booth as the focal point. Upstairs, the terrace opens up to fresh air and a different energy. The crowd is young, Tirana-professional types who are there for the music as much as the drinks.
Musically curated, socially relaxed. Two distinct moods across two floors.
Electronic, deep house, indie-dance, and occasional techno sets
Smart casual. Jeans and a good shirt work. The crowd dresses well without trying too hard.
Music lovers, people who want a rooftop drink with a view, those looking for Blloku's less commercial side
Cash and cards accepted. Albanian lek preferred.

Insider Tip
The rooftop terrace is the best seat in the house on warm evenings. Get up there early; tables fill fast after 9 PM. Thursday nights tend to have the best DJ lineups with smaller, more dedicated crowds.
Full Review
Radio Bar splits its personality between floors and succeeds on both. The ground level is a proper music bar, the kind where the DJ actually matters and the speaker placement suggests someone thought about acoustics. On a good Thursday night with a local DJ working through a deep house set, the downstairs room generates the specific energy of a venue where people came for the sound.
The rooftop terrace is the counterpoint. Open air, lower volume, and a view that reminds you Tirana is surrounded by mountains. The drinks taste the same but the atmosphere is completely different, and moving between floors feels like changing venues without the walk. This dual personality is Radio's trick, and it works because both options are genuinely good rather than one being a compromise.
The drink menu is standard for Blloku, which means affordable by any Western measure. Cocktails are competently made. The local beer options (Korça and Tirana) are cheap and drinkable. The bartenders are fast and friendly, a combination that matters when the venue fills up on weekends.
The crowd is one of Blloku's better mixes. Young Tirana professionals, university students, a few expats, and the occasional tourist who found the place through word of mouth or Instagram. The atmosphere is social without being performative. People talk, dance when the music calls for it, and generally seem to be enjoying themselves without needing to prove it.
The Neighborhood
