Club Moda
Club Moda is Tashkent's flagship nightclub, occupying a purpose-built space in the Yunusabad district that would hold its own against mid-range clubs in Moscow or Istanbul. The venue spans two floors with distinct dance areas: the main floor features an elevated DJ booth, professional lighting rig, and a dance floor that accommodates around 200 people. The second level houses VIP booths overlooking the main floor, a separate bar, and a lounge area with lower volume for conversation. Total capacity reaches approximately 500 on a full Saturday night. The sound system is the best in Tashkent, with bass that you feel in your chest from the parking lot. The door policy filters for appearance, and the crowd responds accordingly, with Tashkent's young and affluent arriving in their best outfits. Resident DJs handle weeknight events, while weekends bring guest DJs from Moscow, Almaty, and occasionally European cities. The bottle service culture is prominent, with VIP tables ordering vodka, champagne, and whiskey bottles displayed with sparklers.
What to Expect
A proper nightclub with a serious sound system, two floors, and a crowd that dresses like they're going to a Moscow club. VIP culture is strong, the music is loud, and the energy peaks between 1 and 3 AM.
High-energy and aspirational. The crowd is young, well-dressed, and aware of being seen. VIP sparklers, bottle presentations, and a thumping sound system create the impression of a Moscow satellite club in the Uzbek capital.
Commercial EDM, Russian pop remixes, hip-hop, and reggaeton. Guest DJs on weekends bring deeper house and techno sets.
Strictly enforced. Men need collared shirts, clean shoes (no sneakers), and trousers or dark jeans. Women wear cocktail dresses and heels. The doorman has final say.
Clubbers looking for Tashkent's best dance floor, groups wanting VIP bottle service, visitors curious about Central Asian club culture

Full Review
Club Moda represents the top tier of Tashkent nightlife, and experiencing it reveals how much Uzbekistan's capital has changed in recent years. The venue is professionally run in ways that matter: the sound system delivers clean bass without distortion, the lighting rig is programmed rather than left on auto, the bartenders work efficiently through a crowd, and the security is firm but not aggressive.
The main dance floor is where the energy concentrates. By 1 AM on a Saturday, 150 or more people pack the space, moving to a mix of EDM, Russian pop, and hip-hop that the resident DJ blends with competence. The elevated DJ booth and professional lighting create visual drama that matches the audio. Smoke machines and laser effects add layers to the bigger drops. The floor surface is purpose-built for dancing, which sounds trivial but makes a difference when you're three hours into a night.
The VIP section on the second level operates by its own rules. Tables require a minimum spend that ranges from 500,000 to 1,000,000 UZS depending on the night, which translates to roughly $40-80. Bottles arrive with sparklers and brief fanfare. The clientele at the tables tends to be Tashkent's business class, slightly older than the dance floor crowd, and projecting status through their bottle choices and the company they keep. The view down to the main floor is the VIP's secondary feature, giving table occupants a cinematic perspective on the crowd below.
The door policy is Moda's most distinctive feature for visitors. The doorman evaluates your appearance, your group composition, and your attitude. Solo men may face additional scrutiny. Mixed groups pass easily. Dressing below the expected standard results in a polite but firm refusal. This filtering system keeps the internal crowd consistent and creates an atmosphere where everyone has made an effort to be there.
The main criticism of Moda is that it can feel performative. The emphasis on appearance, VIP status, and bottle presentations sometimes overshadows the music and dancing. On nights when a genuinely good guest DJ plays, this drops away and the venue functions as a proper club. On nights when the resident DJ phones it in, the scene can feel like an expensive fashion show with a soundtrack.
