LuxX Club & Restaurant

LuxX sits on Kata Road in the southern section of Karon, slightly removed from the central Patak Road bar strip. The venue runs as a hybrid: the front section operates as a restaurant from 19:00 onward, with the club portion picking up after 22:00. The dance floor is small (around 50-60 dancers at capacity) but the sound and lighting are competently calibrated.

The DJ booth handles the standard Bangla mix of EDM and commercial dance, with occasional themed nights bringing different genres. The programming isn't as ambitious as Illuzion or Hollywood at Bangla Road, but it provides a reliable Karon alternative for visitors who don't want to commute to Patong for a club night. International DJs come through occasionally during high season; the standard nights run residents.

The restaurant section serves Thai-Western fusion with a focus on grilled meats and seafood. The food is competent rather than memorable; the dining section runs as a pre-club option rather than a destination restaurant. Prices match the Karon upper tier.

The drink program runs at the upper Karon tier. Cocktails at 280-420 THB; beer at 150-250 THB. The cover often includes a drink package; the math works out better for drinkers who plan multiple rounds.

The crowd is the mixed Karon nightlife regulars with a heavier Russian and Thai contingent than the Patak Road pub circuit. The Russian-language signage on the walls signals the demographic; the music programming reflects it with occasional Russian pop and Eastern European EDM tracks.

Compared with the Patak Road pub circuit (Angus O'Tool's, The Garage, The Minstrel), LuxX is the only proper nightclub format in the area. Compared with Bangla Road's clubs (Illuzion, Hollywood, Tiger), it's a fraction of the size and runs less ambitious programming, but it saves the Patong commute for Karon-based visitors.

The Kata Road location requires Bolt; the walk from central Karon is 15-20 minutes and not pedestrian-friendly at night.
