The Beer Lab
The Beer Lab is a craft-beer pub on the south end of Nimman with a rotating selection of Thai and international craft brews on tap, casual seating, and a settled crowd of beer-focused expats and Thai professionals. The space runs an open-fronted indoor bar with a long counter, 12 to 16 draft taps along the back wall, and a small outdoor patio under string lights. Pricing is moderate: draft craft beer 160-260 THB per glass, bottled imports 220-350 THB, simple bar food 120-280 THB. The crowd skews 30s and 40s with a strong digital-nomad contingent during weekday afternoons. Music stays at conversational volume; this is a beer-conversation venue rather than a club or cocktail destination.

Insider Tip
Ask the bartender for the current tap list; the rotation refreshes every two weeks. The flight option (four small pours for 350 THB) is the best way to sample the Thai craft scene. Pair beers with the chicken wings and the loaded fries; the kitchen does these well.
Full Review
The Beer Lab sits in an open-fronted space on the south end of Nimman with a wraparound bar, the draft tap wall behind, and a covered outdoor patio facing the street. Seating runs along the bar, at high-top tables inside, and at low tables on the patio under string lights. Capacity is around 70 between the indoor and outdoor sections.
The craft-beer program is the venue's anchor. The 12 to 16 rotating taps draw from Thai craft breweries (Mahanakhon, Sandport, Chit Beer, Devanom) and international imports, with a focus on IPAs, sours, and Belgian-style ales. Pricing per glass runs lower than Beer Republic on Soi 11, making The Beer Lab the better value for serious tasting sessions. The flight option (four small pours for 350 THB) is the best way to sample the local craft scene.
Compared to Beer Republic, The Beer Lab is more casual, less themed, cheaper, and pulls a younger digital-nomad crowd. The two pubs complement each other and many beer-focused regulars rotate between them weekly. Compared to the cocktail bars on Sois 5, 7, 9, The Beer Lab is more relaxed and less polished, with the volume and the price both lower.
The kitchen runs simple bar food: wings, loaded fries, a few burgers, basic pizza. Execution is reliable on the wings and the fries; the pizza is acceptable but not the reason to come. Service is friendly and unhurried, with the bar staff knowing regulars by name.
