Beer Republic

Beer Republic occupies a two-floor building on Nimmanhaemin Soi 11 with a covered outdoor patio at street level and an indoor restaurant inside. The space leans heavily into the Tuscan aesthetic: warm yellows, tiled accents, hanging string lights, and framed Italian landscapes on the walls. The taps run along a back wall behind the indoor bar.

The craft-beer program is the bar's strength. The 15 draft taps rotate every few weeks across Thai craft breweries (Mahanakhon, Sandport, Chit Beer) and international imports (mostly European IPAs, Belgian abbey ales, and German weissbiers). Pricing sits at 180-280 THB per glass depending on the tap, which is comparable to The Beer Lab nearby but with a more curated selection. Bottled beer adds another 30 options.

Compared to The Beer Lab on the south end of Nimman, Beer Republic is more polished, has the Italian-restaurant infrastructure, and pulls a notably older crowd. The Beer Lab is more student-leaning and cheaper. The two complement each other; many beer-focused regulars rotate between them.

The Italian kitchen runs solid wood-fired pizzas and a wider pasta menu that's hit-or-miss depending on the night and the cook. The pizza is the safe order; the carbonara and the cacio e pepe are reliable when the kitchen is sharp. Service is unhurried but attentive, with the waitstaff knowing the regulars by name. Bills are processed efficiently at table.
