Hivernage, Marrakech

Pacha Marrakech is the Ibiza brand's Moroccan outpost, operating in a dedicated compound near the Hivernage hotel cluster. The venue has a large indoor dance floor, outdoor pool and terrace areas, VIP sections with bottle service, and a restaurant that serves pre-club dinners. The compound setup allows the venue to run indoor and outdoor simultaneously on warm nights. International DJ residencies and themed events (white party, foam party, etc.) draw European tourists alongside Moroccan regulars. Entry costs 200-300 MAD (18.50-27.80 EUR / 20-30 USD) including one drink. Cocktails cost 120-180 MAD (11-16.65 EUR / 12-18 USD). Bottle service starts at 1,500 MAD (139 EUR / 150 USD). The music is commercial house and electronic with Ibiza influences. The pool area functions as part of the club space on weekends, adding a dimension that indoor-only venues can't match.

What to Expect

A purpose-built club compound that delivers a solid international nightlife experience. The pool and outdoor area give Pacha its identity. On warm nights, the outdoor space fills with people holding cocktails around an illuminated pool while the DJ plays from an elevated booth. The indoor dance floor is large, well-equipped, and packed on good nights. The Ibiza brand brings expectations; Pacha Marrakech meets most of them without exceeding any.

Atmosphere

International, commercial, and pool-party inflected. Pacha brings the Ibiza formula to Morocco, complete with branded cherries.

Music

Commercial house, tech house, EDM, and Ibiza-influenced electronic. DJ residencies and guest bookings from the international circuit.

Dress Code

Smart casual to dressy. Men: trousers and a decent shirt. Women: club attire. The standard is a notch below Theatro. The pool party dress code is swimwear and resort casual.

Ibiza alumni. Electronic music fans. Groups who want outdoor nightlife. Summer visitors who want a pool party.

Insider Tip

The outdoor area is the unique selling point. If the weather is good, spend your time poolside. The indoor dance floor can feel generic compared to Theatro's theatrical space. Summer pool parties on Saturday afternoons are actually the best events Pacha runs. The restaurant is serviceable but not a destination; eat in Gueliz or at your hotel instead.

Full Review

Pacha Marrakech rides on brand recognition, and the brand delivers a consistent product. If you've been to Pacha in Ibiza, Barcelona, or any other outpost, you know what to expect: a large dance floor, solid production, a poolside lounge area, and a crowd that's there because the name means something to them.

The outdoor area is where Pacha Marrakech distinguishes itself. The pool, illuminated in shifting colors, sits at the center of a terrace ringed with seating, bars, and a DJ booth. On warm evenings (which in Marrakech means most of the year), this outdoor space becomes the primary venue. The atmosphere is more relaxed than the indoor dance floor, with people drifting between the pool edge, the bars, and the dance areas.

The indoor dance floor is competent but generic. It's a large, dark room with a good sound system, standard club lighting, and a DJ booth at one end. Compared to Theatro's architectural drama, it feels like a convention center. But the sound system delivers, the DJ programming is professional, and on a packed Friday night, the energy compensates for the aesthetic limitations.

Summer pool parties, usually Saturday afternoons from 3 PM to 9 PM, are arguably Pacha's best offering. The daytime setting, with actual swimming, poolside service, and progressive house music, captures the Ibiza spirit more effectively than the late-night club format. Entry for pool parties runs 150-250 MAD with drink inclusions.

The restaurant inside the compound opens for dinner from 8 PM. The food is adequate but forgettable. If you're dining before clubbing, Gueliz or the Es Saadi offer better options.

VIP sections and bottle service follow the standard model. Tables start at 1,500 MAD and the sparkler presentations are included. The VIP areas offer decent sightlines over the dance floor and pool.

The crowd tends younger and more tourist-heavy than Theatro. French visitors make up a significant portion. Moroccan regulars are present but don't dominate as they do at So Lounge. The atmosphere is fun without being exclusive.

The main weakness is identity. Strip the Pacha branding and you'd have a decent club with a pool. The brand adds recognition value but the venue itself doesn't have the character that Theatro's theater conversion provides.

The Neighborhood

The Pacha compound sits on a road near the Es Saadi hotel complex in Hivernage. The surrounding area is hotel-dominated. Other venues like Theatro and So Lounge are within a 5-minute taxi ride.

Getting There

Taxi from central Gueliz costs 20-30 MAD (1.85-2.75 EUR). From Jemaa el-Fnaa, 25-40 MAD. Taxi drivers know Pacha by name. Careem works for the return. The compound has its own parking area.
