Vibe Beach Club at Kandima
Vibe Beach Club is the entertainment hub of Kandima Maldives, a resort in Dhaalu Atoll that targets a younger, more active demographic than the typical luxury Maldives property. The venue combines a swimming pool, poolside bar, beach access, and a DJ booth into a beach club format familiar to anyone who's visited Ibiza or Bali. Sun loungers line the pool. The bar is open-air with a thatched roof. A small dance area sits adjacent to the DJ setup. Capacity is around 100 guests, making it the largest dedicated entertainment venue in the Maldives resort landscape. Kandima programs regular themed events, pool parties, and occasional guest DJ appearances. The crowd skews noticeably younger than other Maldives resorts, with couples in their late 20s and 30s, groups of friends, and a sprinkling of solo travelers.

Full Review
Kandima positioned itself as the anti-honeymoon Maldives resort, and Vibe Beach Club is the centerpiece of that strategy. The venue stretches along a section of the island's beach, with the infinity pool as the focal point and the bar set back under a thatched canopy.
Daytime at Vibe follows the beach club playbook. Music starts around 11 AM, cocktails appear, and the pool loungers fill steadily through the afternoon. The DJ keeps things upbeat but not aggressive, mixing tropical house, remixes, and feel-good pop. Waitstaff circulate taking drink orders so you don't have to leave your lounger. The all-inclusive guests are identifiable by their more relaxed ordering pace.
Sunset is the transition point. The music shifts, the lighting warms, and the bar area becomes the focal point as people move from pool to tables. On regular evenings, this is a pleasant wind-down spot with cocktails and conversation. On event nights, the energy escalates. Themed parties (white party, full moon, glow party) bring out costumes, louder music, and actual dancing.
The crowd at Kandima is younger than the Maldives average. You'll see more groups of friends, fewer honeymooners, and a generally more outgoing social dynamic. This makes Vibe feel less exclusive and more communal than resort bars at Four Seasons or St. Regis properties.
The limitations are inherent to the Maldives model. Even at its busiest, Vibe has maybe 60-80 people present. The DJ is good but working within resort constraints. And it all ends by 1 AM at the latest. Still, for the Maldives, this is as close to a genuine nightlife experience as exists.
