Brickhouse
Brickhouse sits at 1 Lan Kwai Fong, the corner position at the bottom of the L-shaped street that gives the district its name. The Mexican-themed bar and restaurant serves tacos, burritos, and a large selection of tequilas and mezcals alongside margaritas and Mexican beers. The space has an industrial feel with exposed brick walls, wooden tables, and a long bar counter that wraps around the corner of the building. The ground floor opens directly onto the street, and on busy nights the crowd spills out onto the pavement. An upper level provides additional seating with a view down onto the LKF intersection. Capacity is about 120 across both floors. Margaritas start at 80 HKD, making Brickhouse one of the more affordable venues in LKF for cocktails. The atmosphere is casual and loud, fueled by tequila and a crowd that's here to have fun rather than impress anyone.
What to Expect
You walk in from the corner of Lan Kwai Fong into a lively, open-front bar with Mexican music, the smell of grilled food, and a crowd that's usually smiling. The bar is immediately to your left, the taco counter ahead, and stairs to the upper level on the right. The energy is casual and welcoming.
Casual, loud, and tequila-fueled. A party bar without the pretense of the upscale clubs.
Mexican-influenced pop, Latin beats, and top 40. The music is background rather than the main event. Volume increases as the night progresses.
Casual. Brickhouse is the least dressy venue in LKF. Shorts and sandals are fine.
Groups starting a night in LKF who want food and drinks in one place. Budget-conscious visitors who want the LKF atmosphere without club prices.
Cards and cash accepted.

Full Review
Brickhouse serves a clear purpose in the LKF ecosystem: it's the affordable, fun starting point for a night out. While the clubs charge 300+ HKD cover and 150 HKD cocktails, Brickhouse offers 80 HKD margaritas and 60 HKD tacos in a setting that feels like a party from the moment you walk in.
The corner position at the base of Lan Kwai Fong street is prime real estate. On weekend nights, the open front means the bar merges with the street party outside. Standing at the bar with a margarita, you're simultaneously inside the venue and part of the LKF crowd. This blurred boundary is part of the appeal.
The food is decent Mexican fare adapted for Hong Kong tastes. Tacos, nachos, and burritos are filling and pair well with the tequila-heavy drink menu. It's not authentic Oaxacan cuisine, but that's not the point. The food exists to keep you fueled for a long night, and it does that job well.
The upper level offers a different perspective. Seated tables with views down to the street below provide a calmer option for groups that want to eat and drink without standing in the crowd. On busy nights, both levels fill up by 10 PM.
Brickhouse doesn't pretend to be something it's not. It's a fun, affordable, casual bar in an expensive district. For visitors on a budget or groups that want a relaxed start to the evening before deciding whether to hit the clubs, it's the right call.
