Under Bron
Under Bron (meaning 'Under the Bridge') occupies the indoor spaces beneath the Skanstull bridge that become Trädgården in summer. Operating from October through April, the venue transforms the concrete cave into a winter club with a focus on electronic music, live performances, and cultural events. The main room holds around 800 people and retains the raw, industrial character of its outdoor sibling: exposed concrete, metal fixtures, and a sound system installed for serious music. A smaller second room hosts alternative programming, DJ sets, and experimental events. Under Bron doesn't try to replicate Trädgården's open-air magic. Instead, it leans into the bunker aesthetic, creating a dark, enclosed space where the music and the crowd are the only things that matter. The programming is consistently strong, booking international electronic acts alongside Stockholm's local DJ talent. Events are ticketed and often sell out, particularly for headline shows.
What to Expect
You walk through the same entrance as summer Trädgården but instead of open air, you enter a concrete-walled space that feels like a bunker converted into a club. The ceiling is low enough to feel the bass vibrating through it. The main room is dark with focused stage lighting and a DJ booth raised slightly above the floor. When the room fills, the body heat and energy turn the space into something primal and intense.
Dark, enclosed, and bass-heavy. The concrete walls amplify low frequencies, and a full room generates heat and energy that transforms the space. Feels like Stockholm's answer to Berlin's underground clubs.
House, techno, and experimental electronic music. Heavier and darker than Trädgården's summer programming. Live electronic acts and hybrid DJ/live sets feature regularly.
All black works. Dark, comfortable clothing for dancing. Coats go to the cloakroom (SEK 40-60). Sneakers recommended because the floor gets wet from condensation.
Electronic music fans visiting Stockholm in winter. Anyone who wants to see what Trädgården's space becomes when the temperature drops below zero. Late-night dancers who need a 5 AM option.
Cards and contactless. No cash. Swish available. Cloakroom typically requires card payment too.

Insider Tip
Buy tickets online through the Under Bron or Trädgården website. Walk-up entry is possible for non-sold-out events but not guaranteed. The 5 AM license makes this the go-to for late-night dancing in winter. Dress warmly for the walk there; the venue itself gets warm fast once it fills up.
Full Review
Under Bron proves that Trädgården's magic isn't just about summer sunshine and climbing plants. When the outdoor space closes in October, the indoor rooms underneath the bridge come alive with a completely different energy. Where summer Trädgården is open, airy, and communal, winter Under Bron is dark, compressed, and intense.
The main room is a concrete box in the best possible sense. The low ceiling traps sound, the walls bounce bass, and the DJ booth sits close enough to the crowd that the performer's energy transfers directly. On a packed Saturday night with a strong headliner, the room reaches a collective intensity that Stockholm's polished clubs can't touch. Everyone is here for the music, and the confined space forces that shared focus.
The second room offers breathing space and alternative programming. Smaller DJ sets, experimental electronic acts, and occasional live performances fill a more intimate space that holds maybe 200 people. It's worth checking throughout the night because the programming can be more adventurous than the main room.
Practical considerations: bring a card (no cash), wear dark comfortable clothes, and expect to sweat. The cloakroom queue can be 15-20 minutes at peak entry times, so arriving slightly before doors or slightly after the initial rush helps. Water is available at the bars, and you'll want it. The sound levels are high. Earplugs are a reasonable choice if you're standing near the speakers for extended periods.
The 5 AM closing time makes Under Bron the anchor of winter late nights on Södermalm. When other bars close at 1-3 AM, this venue is just reaching its peak energy. The post-2 AM crowd includes both people who've been here since doors opened and those arriving from closing venues across the city. The blend keeps the atmosphere fresh through the night.
The Neighborhood
Under Bron shares its address with Trädgården at Hammarby Slussväg 2, beneath the Skanstull bridge. The surrounding area is quiet in winter, with few nearby bars or restaurants open late. Plan to taxi or subway home rather than expecting a nightlife corridor around the venue.
Getting There
Skanstull Tunnelbana station (green line) is a 3-minute walk. Same route as Trädgården. From Medborgarplatsen, walk south on Götgatan for about 15 minutes. Uber and taxis can reach the venue directly via Hammarby Slussväg.
