Full Review
La Veranda fills an important gap in The Pearl's dining landscape. As one of the few venues with a standalone alcohol license, it offers something closer to a normal European bar-restaurant experience.
The food is solid mid-range Italian. Pasta is made in-house, pizzas come from a wood-fired oven. The wine list deserves special mention for its depth in Italian regions.
The bar section works well for drop-in drinks. The aperitivi menu is well-executed.
The terrace is the venue's strongest asset. Facing Medina Centrale's central plaza, it offers front-row seats to The Pearl's evening social scene.
