Club Hype
Club Hype is one of the longest-running clubs inside the Mango Square complex, with a packed dance floor on weekends and a music program that tilts heavily toward EDM and Top 40. The space holds about 600 across a main dance floor, raised platforms, a wraparound bar, and a small VIP section. The format runs as a standard Filipino dance club: cover charge with included drinks, DJ sets handling commercial dance, and a young local crowd that arrives later and stays later than Western clubbing norms. Cover sits at 200-300 PHP on weekends including one or two drinks. Drink prices match the Mango Avenue standard. The crowd is mostly young Cebuanos with a steady tourist contingent; the energy peaks between 11 PM and 2 AM.

Full Review
Club Hype sits inside the Mango Square complex with its entrance opening from the central courtyard. The door process is quick: cover paid at the booth, ID check, and pat-down. Inside, the main floor opens into a dance space with the DJ booth raised at the far end, a long bar running along one side, and raised platforms scattered for elevated dancing.
The music programming runs the standard Mango Square format: EDM, commercial Top 40, and Filipino pop crossover. The DJ booth handles continuous mixing from 22:00 onward; the energy builds steadily through the night with the peak hitting between 23:00 and 02:00. The sound system is competent for the room size; the lighting rig is standard club fare with lasers, strobes, and LED panels.
The drink program matches the Mango Avenue standard. Beer at 80-150 PHP; cocktails at 250-400 PHP; the cover includes one or two drinks. Bottle service is available but uncommon; the Filipino club culture leans more toward individual drinks than table-bottle service.
The crowd is overwhelmingly young Cebuanos with a smaller tourist contingent. Filipino college students, young professionals from the surrounding BPO industry, and weekend visitors from the surrounding provinces dominate. The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious; the Filipino hiya culture means strangers don't pressure or aggress.
Compared with Draft Punk and Uptown (similar Mango Square clubs), Club Hype has the longest tenure and the most reliable EDM programming. Compared with The Den at IT Park, it's louder, more local, and considerably cheaper. The format works well for visitors who want the classic Mango Square experience without venturing into the more specialized clubs.
