Full Review
Local Store is the antidote to Palm Beach's resort prices. Walk in and the difference is immediate: the beer is $4 instead of $7, the bartender is wearing a t-shirt instead of a uniform, and the TV is showing whatever game happens to be on.
The pool tables are the social center. Tourists and locals play together, and the competitive spirit creates conversations that wouldn't happen at a hotel lounge.
The food menu is limited but functional: wings, nachos, burgers. Late-night kitchen hours make this one of the few places to eat after midnight near Palm Beach.
Local Store works best as a stop on a longer night rather than the destination itself. Start at a beach bar for sunset, hit Gusto for dancing, and end up here at 2 AM for cheap beer and pool.
The Neighborhood
Near the Palm Beach strip but slightly off the main boulevard. One of the few independently owned bars in the hotel zone.
Getting There
A short walk from the main Palm Beach hotel strip. Taxi from downtown Oranjestad costs about $15 USD.
Other Venues in Palm Beach

Gusto
Aruba's main nightclub on the Palm Beach strip. Open-air dance floor, international DJs on weekends, and a mix of tourists and locals.

Stellaris Casino Bar
Casino lounge at the Marriott Resort with live entertainment, late hours, and a relaxed crowd splitting time between gambling and drinking.

Bugaloe Beach Bar
Open-air beach bar on a pier extending into the water. Live music most nights, strong rum cocktails, and sunset views.

Sopranos Piano Bar
Sing-along piano bar in the resort area. Dueling pianists take requests and the crowd gets loud as the night goes on.
