Sublime Club
Sublime is one of the main late-night clubs on Aristides Villanueva, operating in a purpose-built two-floor venue that can hold around 400 people at capacity. The main floor runs electronic and commercial house from a resident DJ lineup, with a sound system that has been updated more recently than most comparable venues in the city. The second floor is a smaller room that alternates between reggaeton and Latin pop programming. Lighting is standard club format: LED rig, strobes, fog machine. The crowd is predominantly local, between 20 and 32, and arrives in force after 2 AM. The cover charge is low enough that the door does not function as a social filter. Do not expect Crobar-level production, but for Mendoza's club scene it sits at the top.

What to Expect
A proper Argentine late-night club. The energy builds slowly from 1 AM and peaks around 3-4 AM. The main floor gets hot and dense. The crowd is out to dance, not to be seen. The music is mainstream but competently mixed.
Hot, loud, and properly Argentine. The peak hours between 3 and 5 AM have real energy.
Commercial house, electronic, and reggaeton depending on room and night
Casual to club-ready. Anything goes as long as you do not look like you are on your way to the airport.
Anyone who wants to stay out until sunrise in Mendoza and needs a proper dance floor to do it.
Cash only at the door for cover. Cards and cash at the bar.
Price Range
Cover AR$4,000-8,000, drinks AR$3,500-6,500
Cover ~$3-6 USD / ~2.70-5.40 EUR

Insider Tip
Nothing happens before 2 AM. Showing up at midnight means standing in a near-empty room for 90 minutes. The second floor reggaeton room is less crowded and has better access to the bar. Check their Instagram the week of for any special DJ events that might affect entry prices.
Full Review
Sublime occupies a building on Aristides Villanueva that was designed to be a nightclub, which means the acoustics and layout actually work. Two floors, main dance floor downstairs, secondary room upstairs, bars on both levels. The layout keeps the crowd moving and prevents the stagnation that hits single-room clubs when they fill.
The main floor peaks between 3 and 5 AM. Before that, the DJ is playing to a room that is still building. After 5 AM, energy drops and the crowd thins to the die-hards. The sweet spot for energy is tight but real.
Drink service slows significantly at peak hours. Ordering two drinks at once is necessary, not optional. The bar on the second floor moves faster than the main floor bar when the room is full. Prices are low enough that the service friction does not create resentment.
The crowd does not carry the style pressure you get at Buenos Aires clubs. People show up in jeans and sneakers and dance without self-consciousness. For visitors from cities where club culture involves dress codes and attitude, this is refreshing.
Compared to Konexion a few blocks down, Sublime has a slightly better production setup and pulls slightly larger crowds on peak weekends. The difference is marginal. Both deliver what a Mendoza late night requires.
The Neighborhood
Sublime sits in the denser western section of the Aristides Villanueva strip, surrounded by other bars and clubs. The street is well-lit and populated at the hours Sublime operates. Getting a Cabify from outside the club between 3-5 AM can take 10-15 minutes as drivers are not circulating the strip constantly.
Getting There
Walk from anywhere on the Aristides strip. From Plaza Independencia, roughly a 10-minute walk west. Cabify from the centro hotels runs 5-10 minutes.
Address

Other Venues in Centro / Plaza Independencia

Antares Mendoza
Argentine craft beer chain with a strong local following. Wide tap selection including seasonal ales, stouts, and IPAs brewed in Buenos Aires. Good food menu makes it a reliable dinner stop before the night gets started.

Maria Antonieta
Long-running Mendoza bar with a loyal crowd and outdoor seating that fills on warm evenings. The name is more ironic than aristocratic. Known for reasonable prices and a relaxed atmosphere that bridges the gap between early evening drinks and the later club scene.

La Reserva Bar
Wine-focused bar in the centro that takes its Malbec seriously. Good selection of Mendocino producers by the glass, with cocktails that incorporate local wines. Quieter than the Arístides strip, draws a slightly older crowd.

Kahuak Bar
Student-friendly bar near the university end of the centro with cheap beer and a reliably lively atmosphere. Live music some nights. Not polished, but the prices are honest and the crowd has real energy.

Konexion Club
Established Mendoza nightclub running Latin, reggaeton, and electronic nights across two rooms. Weekend cover charges are low by Argentine standards. Popular with the local under-30 crowd.
