Secret Lounge at 15/42 Nguyen Cong Tru sits slightly off the main Pham Ngu Lao spine but still within walking distance of the bar strip. The layout is built around an open-air tropical garden with seating spread across multiple zones, a covered bar area, pool tables, and shisha service stations. The garden setting differentiates the venue from the open-front street bars that dominate the main strip.

The live music programming runs 8 to 10 PM on most nights with smaller acoustic acts working rock, jazz, and Vietnamese covers. The window is intentionally limited; after 10 PM the music shifts to recorded playlists at moderate volume. The format works well for visitors who want a music-focused early evening before moving to the louder strip bars.

Pool tables run the standard names-and-quarters queue system, drawing the pool-playing portion of the backpacker crowd. Shisha service operates throughout the evening with the standard flavor menu and Vietnamese shisha pricing (200,000-350,000 VND per pipe). The drinks pricing sits at Hue strip rates: beer 30,000-60,000 VND, cocktails 90,000-160,000 VND.
