Full Review

Park Bar occupies the top floor of a parking garage in Bairro Alto, accessed via a discrete entrance and elevator that visitors often miss on first attempts. The unusual location is part of the venue's identity: the converted rooftop format produces one of the best Lisbon panoramic views from a bar, with the city, the Tagus River, and the 25 de Abril Bridge all visible from the seating areas.

The layout runs casual rooftop bar format with plants, garden furniture, casual seating arrangements, and a bar counter handling drink service. The cocktail program runs proper craft drinks at 8-12 EUR per cocktail, with bartenders working appropriate technique. Beer at 4-6 EUR, mains at 10-18 EUR.

The atmosphere is casual and conversation-focused with the view doing much of the work. Music plays at moderate volume with indie electronica and house dominating. The crowd is heavily young Lisboetas, hipster visitors, and tourists who've heard about the rooftop. Sunset is the prime window; reservations help during peak weekend hours.

The Neighborhood

Bairro Alto is Lisbon's traditional nightlife district, a hillside grid of narrow cobbled streets that fills with people pouring drinks onto the pavement after 10 PM. The mix runs from preserved fado houses to contemporary cocktail bars across the small streets. Park Bar sits on top of a Bairro Alto parking garage.

Getting There

Metro Blue line to Baixa-Chiado, then the Elevador da Glória funicular to the top. Walking from Cais do Sodré takes 10 minutes uphill. Uber from anywhere central takes 5-15 minutes at 5-10 EUR. Look for the parking garage entrance on Calçada do Combro; the bar is on the top floor.

Cinco Lounge

Cocktail bar with over 100 drinks on the menu and bartenders who take the craft seriously. Low lighting, a relaxed lounge layout, and a calmer pace than the street-bar chaos a few blocks away. Cocktails run higher than the area average but are worth it for a slower start to the evening.
