Prozak 2.0
Prozak 2.0 operates in a deep cellar beneath Plac Dominikanski, slightly removed from the Szpitalna club strip. The venue relaunched with the '2.0' tag after renovation but kept the underground identity that made the original Prozak a Krakow institution. The space is moody: low vaulted ceilings, exposed stone, minimal lighting, and a sound system that makes the bass reverberate through the medieval walls. The music policy favors the darker end of electronic music, with regular drum and bass, techno, and bass music nights. The crowd skews younger and more alternative than the mainstream clubs. You'll see more tattoos and less cologne here than at Frantic. Live events bring in Polish DJs and occasional international acts from the electronic underground.

Insider Tip
Thursday drum and bass nights are legendary in Krakow. The venue runs hot, so dress light. The bar is small and gets crowded; order two drinks at once during peak hours. Cash speeds things up.
Full Review
The entrance at Plac Dominikanski leads down stone steps into a cellar system that's been here since the Middle Ages. The venue occupies several connected vaulted rooms, with the main dance floor in the largest chamber and smaller areas serving as bar space and overflow zones. The stone walls sweat when the room is packed. The ceiling is low enough to touch in places.
The sound system has been designed for bass-heavy music, and it delivers. Drum and bass nights are the highlight of the programming, drawing a crowd that dances hard and knows the DJs. Techno events attract a slightly different audience but the energy level stays consistent. The venue books well within Poland's electronic scene, and international guests appear monthly.
Prozak 2.0 fills a niche that Krakow's other clubs don't cover. Szpitalna 1 is more versatile. Frantic is more mainstream. Prozak leans into the underground and doesn't apologize for it. The crowd appreciates this focus. Conversations at the bar are about music, and the dance floor rewards knowledge.
The venue's biggest drawback is ventilation. The cellar gets oppressively hot on busy nights, especially in summer. Water is cheap and should be consumed regularly. The bar is compact, so peak-hour waits are inevitable. Arrive before midnight on weekends to avoid the door queue.
The Neighborhood
Plac Dominikanski is a small square south of the Rynek, quieter than the Szpitalna strip. The Dominican Basilica shares the square, which creates an unusual juxtaposition. Late-night food on nearby Grodzka street serves the post-club crowd.
Getting There
Walk from the Rynek in five minutes heading south. From Kazimierz, it's a 10-minute walk north through Plac Wolnica and ul. Grodzka. Bolt from anywhere in central Krakow costs under 15 PLN.
