Kangaroo Bar & Bistro sits on Punta Engaño Road in Lapu-Lapu City, slightly removed from the resort beach club strip. The entrance opens into a standard sports bar layout: multiple TV screens covering sports across time zones, a long bar running along one side, and dining tables filling the floor. The covered outdoor patio extends seating during dry weather.

The kitchen handles Australian and pub standards. Meat pies (the venue's signature), chicken parmas, fish and chips, burgers, and a few Filipino dishes round out the menu. The pies are properly made; the parmas are large; the kitchen runs as a serious pub-food operation rather than a casual bar kitchen.

The sports programming drives much of the daily traffic. Australian football (AFL), rugby (Super Rugby, NRL, Test matches), Premier League football, and major international sports across the schedule. The AFL Grand Final and the rugby finals are the busiest nights of the year; the venue books out and the kitchen runs extended hours.

The drink program sits at the mid-tier Mactan level. Beer at 150-280 PHP including imports (VB, XXXX, Crown, Tooheys); cocktails at 300-450 PHP; the wine list is short but covers the Australian basics. The prices are notably cheaper than the resort beach clubs; the format works for visitors who want a familiar pub format at moderate prices.

The crowd is overwhelmingly expat. Australian and British regulars dominate; Filipino professionals appear in smaller numbers; tourists are infrequent. The format runs as a community anchor for the small longer-term expat community based on Mactan; the bartenders know the regulars by name.

Compared with the resort beach clubs (Ibiza, Azure, Breeze, Cowrie Cove) and the standalone restaurant venues (Luna Bar + Tapas), Kangaroo runs a completely different format. The expat focus and the sports bar identity make it the closest thing Mactan has to an Australian pub. For longer-stay visitors and expats based on Mactan, Kangaroo is the consensus choice.
