Factory Lounge

Boulevard Morazan, Tegucigalpa

Factory Lounge is a two-level nightclub near the eastern end of Boulevard Morazan's entertainment strip. The ground floor has a standard club layout: bar along one wall, dance floor in the center, DJ booth elevated at the back. The real draw is the upstairs open-air terrace, which offers views of the surrounding city lights and a breeze that the ground floor desperately needs on crowded nights. Capacity runs about 250 across both levels. The terrace has its own bar and a small secondary dance area. Thursday nights pull the university crowd with student-priced drinks and a reggaeton-heavy playlist. Saturday is the main event, with a mixed crowd of students and young professionals. The interior design leans industrial: exposed ductwork, concrete surfaces, and neon accent lights. It's not winning design awards, but the terrace makes up for the ground floor's generic feel.

What to Expect

Ground floor: dark, loud, packed after midnight on Saturdays. The dance floor fills with a young crowd moving to reggaeton and Latin trap. Upstairs: open air, cooler, better vibes. The terrace bar has faster service and the city lights spread out below you. Most experienced locals head upstairs immediately.

Atmosphere

Split personality. Downstairs is a standard Latin club: loud, sweaty, energetic. Upstairs is where the venue becomes worth visiting: open air, social, and the best views of Tegucigalpa at night.

Music

Reggaeton, Latin trap, electronic, and regional genres. Thursday leans student-friendly party music. Saturday gets a broader mix including some house and hip-hop

Dress Code

Casual to smart casual. The university crowd on Thursday wears jeans and sneakers. Saturday brings a slightly more polished look. No shorts or sandals

Best For

University-age Hondurans and young professionals who want to dance. The terrace makes it stand out from Havana Club for anyone who values fresh air

Payment

Cash only at both bars. No card terminals. Bring enough Lempiras for the night

Insider Tip

Full Review

Factory Lounge makes its case with one feature: the rooftop terrace. The ground floor is a functional nightclub that could be in any mid-tier Latin American city. Dark, loud, and built for dancing. It does the job on a busy Saturday night, but it won't surprise anyone who's been to a club before.

Upstairs is different. The open-air terrace wraps around the building and offers a view of Tegucigalpa's scattered lights spread across the surrounding hills. There's a separate bar up here, and the staff is usually less slammed than downstairs. Tables and seating along the railing create natural gathering spots. The music from below filters up at a reduced volume, making conversation possible while still feeling connected to the party below.

Thursday nights are the budget option. The university crowd from UNAH and UTH fills the venue, taking advantage of reduced entry and drink specials. The energy is young and enthusiastic; the music selection skews toward whatever reggaeton tracks are trending that week. If you're over 30, you might feel out of place on a Thursday. Saturday nights bring a wider age range and a slightly more dressed-up crowd. Both levels fill by midnight, and the venue hits capacity by 1 AM during peak months.

Drinks are basic but cheap. Rum-and-Coke, Cuba libre, and beer are the orders that keep the lines moving. Don't expect craft cocktails. The bar is built for speed on busy nights, not mixology. Bottle service on the terrace is the way to go if you're in a group: it guarantees a table and means you're not fighting for the bartender's attention every round.

Security checks bags and does pat-downs at the entrance. Inside, security staff are visible on both levels. The crowd is well-behaved most nights, though the tail end of a Saturday (2-3 AM) can get messy as the alcohol catches up with the younger patrons.

The Neighborhood

Near the eastern end of Boulevard Morazan's nightlife strip, close to the Multiplaza Mall area. Voodoo Lounge and several restaurants are within a block. The stretch between Factory and the rest of the strip is well-lit and police-patrolled.

Getting There

Radio taxi to Boulevard Morazan. Factory is near the Multiplaza end of the strip. The industrial-style signage and neon lights are visible from the street. On busy nights, the line out front helps identify the location.
