There's no pretension at the door, no condescending bartenders, and no feeling that you need to prove your cocktail knowledge to get good service. You walk in, sit down, and the team makes you feel welcome.
The drinks are technically impressive but never show-offy. A cocktail using olive oil, citrus, and gin arrived perfectly emulsified and balanced, tasting like a Greek grove in liquid form. Another based on mastiha and tropical fruit managed to be both familiar and completely original. The kitchen-style prep area means you can watch the process, which is genuinely interesting if you care about technique.
The ground floor gets busy, especially on weekends, and the noise level rises accordingly. For a quieter experience, the afternoon is ideal.
