Salto del Angel
Salto del Angel is a large restaurant-lounge at Carrera 13 #93A-45 with 150 tables in standard configuration expanding to 300 on event nights. The venue runs three distinct programming modes: white-tablecloth dinner service from 7 PM, cocktail lounge with weekend live music from 10 PM, and themed party nights every few weeks that turn the space into a full-scale event venue. The international menu draws on French, Italian, and Colombian techniques with seafood as the strongest section. Cocktails are competent but the wine list is the bar's actual standout, with a 600-bottle inventory across Latin American and European producers. The crowd skews early thirties and older professionals, with weekend nights pulling a polished mixed-international crowd. Reservations are strongly recommended for Thursday through Saturday.

Full Review
Salto del Angel occupies a large space on Carrera 13 that's wider and taller than most Parque 93 restaurants, with the entrance leading into a formally laid-out dining floor and a smaller bar area off to one side. The decor leans into Latin American luxury with bronze fixtures, dark wood, and oil paintings of waterfalls and forests. The lighting is restaurant-warm rather than club-dim.
The menu runs international with Colombian touches. The seafood section is the strongest; the ceviches, octopus dishes, and grilled fish plates are well-executed and use coastal Colombian product. Steaks and pastas fill out the menu competently. Desserts are a step above the typical restaurant tier; the parfait and the trés leches are recommended.
The wine list is the actual draw for repeat visitors. The 600-bottle inventory rotates across Argentina, Chile, Spain, Italy, and France with a strong Latin American emphasis. Sommelier-style service handles pairings; the by-the-glass selection is generous.
From 10 PM on Thursday through Saturday, the venue transitions. The smaller bar area opens up; a band sets up on a low platform near the back wall; the dinner crowd either rotates out or sticks around for the music. The dance floor is small (maybe 30 dancers at capacity) but functional. Live programming runs Latin jazz, salsa, and bolero with occasional cover bands.
Compared with Galería Café Libro, Salto del Angel is more restaurant-focused and less music-first. Compared with the cocktail bars (KYN, Black Bear), it's larger, less intimate, and oriented toward dinner-into-evening rather than cocktail-only nights. The all-night format makes it a strong choice for visitors wanting one venue per evening.
