Tiki Beach Bar
Tiki Beach Bar sits on the sand at the Royal Palms Beach Club, 337 West Bay Road, offering one of Seven Mile Beach's more relaxed waterfront drinking spots. The setup is classic beach bar: tiki torches line the perimeter, tables and loungers spread across the sand, and a thatched-roof bar serves cold drinks against a sunset backdrop. The bar carries a full range of rum, beer, wine, and tropical cocktails. The food menu covers grilled seafood, salads, and snacks suited to the beach setting. Capacity is around 80, though the beach itself absorbs overflow. Unlike Calico Jack's, which builds toward a party atmosphere, Tiki Beach maintains a calmer energy throughout the day and evening. The sunset hour is the peak: from roughly 5:30 to 7 PM, the western-facing beach turns gold, the tiki torches get lit, and the crowd settles in with rum punches and Piton beers. Friday evenings draw the biggest numbers, with the after-work crowd joining tourists for a two-hour stretch of drinks and conversation. By 10 PM, most people have moved on to dinner or other venues, and Tiki Beach winds down.
What to Expect
Sand underfoot, tiki torches flickering, and the sound of gentle waves. The bar sits under a thatched roof with stools facing the beach. Loungers and tables spread across the sand. The crowd is relaxed and conversational. No thumping bass or party energy here.
Tranquil, sunset-focused, and gently social. This is a sipping-drinks-and-watching-the-sky bar, not a dancing-on-tables bar.
Reggae, island pop, and acoustic covers at background volume. No DJ. The music complements the setting without competing with the ocean.
Beach casual. Swimwear and cover-ups during the day, shorts and a casual shirt for evening. The most relaxed dress standard on the strip.
Sunset drinks, couples wanting a romantic beach setting, anyone who prefers calm over party energy.
Credit cards and cash (KYD and USD). Tab service available for lounger guests.

Full Review
Tiki Beach occupies a sweet spot in the Seven Mile Beach bar hierarchy. It's more atmospheric than the resort hotel bars but less hectic than Calico Jack's Sunday circus. The Royal Palms Beach Club provides the infrastructure: clean sand, maintained loungers, proper bathroom facilities, and attentive service.
The bar itself is compact but well-run. Two bartenders handle the flow on busy evenings. Drinks come in proper glasses rather than plastic cups, which is a small detail that elevates the experience. The rum punch is made in batches rather than to order, which means consistency. It's good: strong, not too sweet, with enough lime to cut through the rum.
The sunset is the main event. Seven Mile Beach faces west, and the unobstructed ocean horizon creates a daily show that ranges from pleasant to spectacular depending on cloud conditions. The bar and the crowd orient around this fact. Conversations pause when the colors peak. Phones come out for photos. Then the sun drops, the tiki torches ignite, and the evening begins.
Food is secondary but competent. Grilled mahi-mahi is the standout, served simply with rice and vegetables. Conch fritters are available and worth ordering. Salads are fresh. Nothing from this kitchen will make a food blog, but everything works for a beach setting.
The Friday after-work crowd transforms the atmosphere modestly. By 5:30 PM, the lounger count has tripled and the bar has a two-deep line. It's busy but never overwhelming. By 8 PM, half the crowd has moved to dinner reservations elsewhere, and Tiki Beach settles into a quieter evening mode.
The limitation is the early closure. By 10 PM, the bar is wrapping up. This is a first-stop venue, not a last-stop. The location works perfectly as a sunset kickoff before dinner or a later evening at Fidel's or O Bar.
For visitors staying at Seven Mile Beach resorts, Tiki Beach is walkable along the sand from most locations. That walkability, combined with the consistently pleasant atmosphere, makes it the easiest good bar to reach on the strip.
