Ibiza Closing Parties: The End-of-Season Spectacle
Ibiza's superclub closing parties run from late September through mid-October each year, marking the end of the island's 4-month party season. The closings traditionally draw bigger international crowds than the openings (late May to early June); the energy is the culmination of a full season's residency programming. International DJ closings often include 6 to 12 hour back-to-back marathons that wouldn't happen at openings.
The 2026 closing calendar (final dates announced by each club in July):
- Hi Ibiza closing: September 27-28
- Ushuaia closing: September 27 (same weekend; the pool-club-then-club afterparty combo)
- Pacha closing: October 4-5
- Amnesia closing: October 11-12 (traditionally the last major closing of the season)
Amnesia
Amnesia has been operating since 1976 and traditionally hosts the most cinematic Ibiza closing. The 3-day closing marathon (typically October 9-12) features the resident DJ rosters (Marco Carola's Music On residency, Cocoon, Sven Vath, ANTS, Pyramid). The open-air terrace stays open for sunrise. The closing's final Sunday night runs the longest set of any Ibiza closing.
Hi Ibiza and Ushuaia
The Ushuaia-Hi Ibiza network (across the street from each other in Playa d'en Bossa) runs the most polished modern Ibiza closings. Ushuaia's open-air pool party transitions into the Hi Ibiza after-party that night. Resident DJs Black Coffee, Eric Prydz, Calvin Harris, and the Ushuaia-Hi residents play extended closing sets. The combined Ushuaia-Hi closing weekend draws around 30,000 attendees.
Pacha
Pacha runs its closing with Solomun and the Pacha residents on the first weekend of October. The Funky Room (the smaller second room) and main floor both open with extended hours. Pacha's closing is the most established Old-Ibiza closing tradition; the club has been running since 1973.
