Avalon
Avalon operates inside the Capella Singapore on Sentosa Island, bringing a luxury club experience to a resort setting that separates it from the mainland scene. The venue holds roughly 500 people across a main dance floor, a VIP mezzanine, and an outdoor terrace that opens onto Sentosa's gardens. The interior design mixes contemporary club aesthetics with tropical elements, including living plant walls and natural stone accents that reflect the island setting. The DJ booth sits raised at the far end of the main room, backed by a custom LED wall. International bookings bring headliners from the global EDM and house circuit, while resident DJs fill the calendar with consistent weekend programming. Bottle service is the primary business model, with VIP tables commanding premium pricing and prominent positioning. The Capella hotel's five-star service standards extend to the club, meaning staff are trained to a level uncommon in nightclub environments.
What to Expect
The taxi drops you at the Capella's grand entrance, and staff direct you along a garden path to the club entrance. Inside, the room opens wider than expected, with the dance floor stretching toward the DJ booth. The sound system fills the space without distortion. The VIP section runs along the mezzanine above. The crowd is well-dressed, moneyed, and here to be seen as much as to dance.
Luxurious and exclusive. The resort setting adds a layer of escapism that mainland clubs lack.
Progressive house, EDM, deep house, and commercial dance music. International headliners on marquee nights.
Upscale. This is Capella Singapore. Men need dress shoes, long pants, and a collared shirt at minimum. Many guests dress formally. No exceptions at the door.
Groups celebrating special occasions, high-budget nights out, and clubbers who want a luxury resort experience alongside their DJ lineup.
Cards preferred. Capella room charges accepted for hotel guests. All major cards accepted.

Full Review
Avalon makes sense once you accept that it's a different kind of club than what you find on the mainland. The Sentosa Island location means you're committing to the experience. You can't easily pop in for one drink and move on. This isolation works in the venue's favor by creating a self-contained party environment where the crowd stays all night.
The room is well-designed for a hotel club. The dance floor has enough space that it doesn't hit uncomfortable density, and the VIP mezzanine provides genuine elevation rather than a roped-off section at floor level. Sound quality is strong, and the LED wall behind the DJ adds visual intensity without overwhelming the room. The outdoor terrace connecting to the Capella's gardens offers a rare luxury: stepping outside a nightclub into actual tropical quiet.
Service reflects the five-star hotel context. VIP hosts manage tables with attentiveness you won't find at Clarke Quay. Drinks arrive promptly, and staff remember preferences. The bottle service pricing reflects both the spirit markup and the service level, so while the numbers are high, the experience matches.
The challenge is accessibility. Getting to Sentosa after midnight requires a taxi or Grab across the causeway (about SGD 15-25 from the mainland). The monorail stops running before the club peaks. This limits the crowd to people who planned the evening around Avalon specifically, which arguably improves the atmosphere. If you're staying at the Capella or on Sentosa, this is the obvious choice. If you're coming from the mainland, weigh the logistics against Clarke Quay's convenience.
The Neighborhood
Avalon is part of the Capella Singapore hotel on Sentosa Island. The resort complex includes multiple restaurants, a spa, and access to Sentosa's beaches and attractions. Resorts World Sentosa, with its own dining and entertainment options, is a short drive or walk. The island's other hotels, including W Singapore and Sofitel, are nearby.
Getting There
Take the Sentosa Express monorail from VivoCity (HarbourFront MRT station) to the Sentosa station, then taxi or walk to Capella. After midnight, when the monorail stops, Grab or taxi across the Sentosa causeway from the mainland costs SGD 15-25. The hotel provides a shuttle from VivoCity during resort hours.
